Yes, coffee is a stimulant, which typically elevates your mood, making you feel good. However, with some patients, overstimulation of the nervous system can cause a boost in adrenaline, leading to anxiety.
Why does coffee make some people’s stomach hurt?
For the same reason it boosts adrenaline, coffee’s stimulant effect causes the stomach to contract and squeeze. In large amounts, this can cause stomach pain. Also, coffee increases the acidity in stomach, which can be painful for those with acid reflux.
If you’re like us, you can’t get by without that cup! Is there a way to drink coffee that’s easier on the stomach?
Absolutely! Drinking it very slowly – and with small sips – can make it easier on your stomach. Taking an antacid prior may also help.
Is there any other beverage that could wake you up that wouldn't hurt your stomach as much?
Tea, especially green tea, is much milder and less likely to cause stomach issues. Matcha lovers, rejoice!
Does a regular coffee habit affect your sleep habits over time?
Regular caffeine users can develop tolerance over time, so though it might not immediately affect your sleep, you will find yourself needing more and more cups! However, caffeine can cause insomnia in some patients.

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Green’s Your Colour. They wanted to send me one of their bottles! I said yes because it sounded right up my ally! Which it was. Not only did they send me a really pretty coloured bottle but Green’s Your Colour is perfect for my lifestyle! And probably yours if you are reading my blog!
Firstly they are a Canadian company! I love support Canadian products, especially in the health and fitness industy. Not only are they Canadian but they are also very local to me. Green’s Your Colour was founded by Sandy Costa in 2011. She realized that she wanted to design and manufacture her own line of products, which began with GYC bottles! She wanted to offer products that were safe and wanted to continue to promote sustainability.
They sent me a 500mL bottle in limited edition. You can find it here.

Review of Keurig 2.0 and Can Houtte Specialty Collection
According to Keurig the 2.0 K200 system offers everything consumers love about the Keurig and more - compact design, trend-setting colour choices, nine different brewing sizes and the ability to brew a carafe - all with Keurig simplicity.
Keurig Canada introduced us to the Van Houtte Specialty Collection. The coffees are prepared in two easy steps, with the convince of the keurig K cup brewing system. A variety of delicious, simple, convenient, and easy quick specialty coffees.
I recently received the Keurig 2.0 and the Van Houtte Specialty collection from Influenster for free for testing. I absolutely love my new Keurig 2.0. It preheats the water so you don't have to wait around for it to warm up. Thats a big bonus for me since I am always on the go. My favourite feature is actually the fact it can dispense hot water. I drink a lot of tea and have limited counter space in my condo so this is perfect and can replace my tea kettle that was taking up counter space.
The Vanhoutte Specialty collection I received the vanilla latte and cappuccino. I love cappuccino so that was my favourite. I was particularly impressed of the frothiness of the foam. It was easy and straight forward to make and tasted delicious.
I give both the Keurig 2.0 and the Van Houtte Specialty Collection a thumbs up for ease of use, quality and flavour. I would recommend this if you are a coffee lover or if you have a tea/coffee family.

How To Handle DOMS - Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness
1. Drink plenty of water before, during and after your workout. Make sure to drink electrolytes or BCAA's during your workout. The essential salts will help regulate muscular contractions and nerve function as well as give you energy throughout your workout.
2.Espesso or coffee before your workout will increase muscle strength and endurance as well as help to reduce the chance of soreness.
3. Make sure to do a proper warm up and cool down. This will help clear out lactic acid, regulate the heart and help with blood flow.
4. Eat a post workout meal or snack that contains a ration of 4:1 carbs to protein. This will help restore muscle nutrients lost in the muscle during the workout. Chocolate milk is actually a great post workout options.
5. Massage, stretching, foam rolling, and trigger point release post workout also helps to increase circulation, help with tight muscles and reduce muscle tension like knots etc.
6. Take a cold shower post workout. This will help reduce inflammation to the muscles.
7. If you can't handle the cold shower a hot bath with epsom salts will also help blood circulation and inflammation of the muscles.
8. Proper rest. if you are training hard it is recommended that you get a minimum of 60-70hrs of sleep a week. This includes naps. Sleep is when your body recovers and rebuilds muscle. If you are training hard and often the more sleep you need to help those muscles.
