Stylish Protective Sleeves

We have all worn protective sleeves at one point to support muscle weaknesses and protect injuries. You can buy them in a range of different styles and colors. Pick one that lets your personality shine right through! Wear a copper knee sleeve as well as one on your arm for maximum impact.

Eyecatching shoes

As well as being super fashionable, your shoes need to be the correct style for your workout. If you are jogging outside, on a sports track, or even just on a treadmill, you need shoes that support your weight. If you test your gait, you’ll know which style of running shoes are best for you. If your feet and legs aren’t exposed to as much impact through your choice of activity, you can opt for a lightweight sports shoe. To find your ideal pair, speak to a physician who can suggest what to go for.

Headbands

If you think headbands were left behind in the 80s, you’re very much mistaken! Lots of gym-goers wear headbands to hold their hair back. Don’t get annoyed by strands of hair falling in front of your face as you’re trying to lift weights or reach your new personal best on the exercise bike. Keep your hair slicked back under a headband. It’ll also save it from getting sweaty!

Long Sleeve Sweatshirt

This one is mainly for all you guys who prefer an outdoor workout. If temperatures dip slightly, you need to keep yourself wrapped up warm. Exercising out in the cold can cause extra strain on your muscles. If you don’t wrap them up warm, you will be increasing your risk of injuring yourself. So always check the weather before you head outside. If it looks a bit chilly, pull on a long sleeve sweatshirt and leggings.

Sports Bra

Ladies, you need effective support for your chest otherwise, you could be giving your fellow gym members an eyeful! In all serious, though, wearing a well-fitted sports bra will correctly support your breasts and reduce aches and pains. You won't do any serious damage if you do not wear a sports bra, but you will be saving yourself from a lot of discomforts! Visit your local sports shop to get one correctly fitted. Bras come in all different styles and colors, so you’ll have no trouble finding one you like.
Now you know how to look the part, there’s nothing stopping you smashing all your gym records!

Would you like to get in shape and turn your body into a fitness machine? Do you look at old movies starring Arnold Schwarzenegger with envy? Then now could be the best time to start working on your muscles. Most people don’t know where to begin, and so we’ve made some suggestions on this page. The basic rule of thumb is that you don’t want to push yourself too hard. You will cause an injury and set yourself back considerably. Start slow, and build on your routine when you feel more comfortable.

Join a local gym

It might sound obvious, but the best course of action usually involves joining a gym. The only issue is that many people struggle to find the motivation they need. That is why you should encourage a friend to come along for the sessions. Either that or you should pay for the services of a personal trainer. You will notice an improvement by the end of the first month if you train regularly. It’s a big commitment, but exercise is the only way to get your body in shape.

Try a self-defence class

There are lots of different self-defence classes you might like to choose. Some people like to stick with something traditional and popular like Karate. Judo is also a top choice for many folks who are just starting out. However, those of you who want to try something different might consider Krav Maga. The boss of IDF Training told us it is one of their most sought after classes. People come from all around the country to take part. The self-defence system was designed for the Israeli military, but it has become popular all over the world.

Buy weights and set them up at home

Those of you who are more interested in building muscles than getting fit should purchase some equipment. That is the best way of taking your training to the next level. Presuming you have a spare room in your home, you could create a personal gym. Make sure you have lots of weights and a decent bench so you can work out at times that are convenient for you. Again, asking a friend to come round and take part is a wise move. You will have someone there to help if you injure yourself, and they will provide much-needed encouragement.

Run every morning before work

It’s a good idea to go out running for half an hour before work. That is the best time of the day to get your fitness regime started. You don’t need to pay for access to a local track. Just jog around the streets in your area. Make sure you purchase appropriate running shoes, so you don’t damage your body. It might have been okay to run in school shoes when you were a child, but adults need more support. Your body is not as young as it used to be. Try to find shoes with memory foam soles for the most comfortable experience.

You should have enough ideas to get started right now. Maybe you should see how many press-ups you can do at the moment? Perform your new routine and then see how that number has increased in a few weeks. It’s important that you can tell how much difference your exercise is making. It could be wise to get hold of a pedometer too. That will give you a basic idea of how far you’re running.

Good luck!

How To Handle DOMS - Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness

1. Drink plenty of water before, during and after your workout. Make sure to drink electrolytes or BCAA's during your workout. The essential salts will help regulate muscular contractions and nerve function as well as give you energy throughout your workout.

2.Espesso or coffee before your workout will increase muscle strength and endurance as well as help to reduce the chance of soreness.

3. Make sure to do a proper warm up and cool down. This will help clear out lactic acid, regulate the heart and help with blood flow.

4. Eat a post workout meal or snack that contains a ration of 4:1 carbs to protein. This will help restore muscle nutrients lost in the muscle during the workout. Chocolate milk is actually a great post workout options.

5. Massage, stretching, foam rolling, and trigger point release post workout also helps to increase circulation, help with tight muscles and reduce muscle tension like knots etc.

6. Take a cold shower post workout. This will help reduce inflammation to the muscles.

7. If you can't handle the cold shower a hot bath with epsom salts will also help blood circulation and inflammation of the muscles.

8. Proper rest. if you are training hard it is recommended that you get a minimum of 60-70hrs of sleep a week. This includes naps. Sleep is when your body recovers and rebuilds muscle. If you are training hard and often the more sleep you need to help those muscles.
