I recently tried out the Pranamat Eco. http://pranamat.com According to their website there are many different uses for it. I love the color of my personal mat (basically tiffanies green). Let me first say that this is not just another pretty looking yoga mat! It is functional and has a multitude of uses! It also comes with a 5 year warranty! THATS A LONG TIME! It was quick to ship and looks just like it is advertised. It also is made of eco friendly materials which is a bonus these days (hence the word eco). I was using it for post workout. At first it took a while to get use to. It was pretty intense actually but after using it a few times I got use to how the pressure points felt. I have been sleeping a lot better. I have not been waking up through the nights and I have been very well rested. Who would have thought that something like this could make that big of a difference.

Hey Everyone! I hope you're having a great weekend. I wanted to let you know about my new product discovery and give you a review! I have tons of headphones, buds, and earphones that I use from day to day during strength training, walking, running, and other forms of cardio. I even use them to listen to music on my daily commute. However, do you know what really grinds my gears? TANGLE HEADPHONES! Lost It? Find It? - TrackR
I was browsing through Best Buy Canada and I came across this little white box that caught my eye. It read: Lost It? Find It? - TrackR. Since I am always on the go in and out of gyms, clients homes, track and field facilities, my car and constantly traveling to different locations for meetings I am always loosing things. So the idea of the TrackR is perfect for me.
This little guy can be attached to your phone, put on your keys, on your bicycle, in your wallet or any electronic device that you use on a day to day basis. It can be 3M adhesively attached to any device. It can also be tied to a keychain, back pack or even your dog.
Once you download the software/app and set up your account (which is very easy) you are good to go. The app is compatible with:
Iphone 4S Or Later
IPad with retina display or IPad mini or later
iOS 7 and later
Android 4.4 and later
Once you realize that you have lost whatever item your TrackR is attached to press your TrackR device button to ring. Even if you phone is on silent you will find it! What a great idea! Also if you log into the app you can ring your item and find it whevever it may be. If you still don't hear the ringer it has a GPS where you can see the location of the item. It also comes with a one year warranty.

SMS Audio - On Ear Wired Sport
This past week I received a package from SMS Audio. The package contained two sets of headphones. One of which I have included here. The SMS Audio - On Ear Wired Sport. In Pink and black! My favourite colours. These headphones came with a great travel case for on the go transport. It is hard shelled so if you are like me and just throw your head phones in your bag this will keep them safe. They also came with a workout towel! How convenient. It actually is soft to touch vs some of the sweat towels where if you have dry skin or a callous your hands immediately stick to the towel.
I quickly put the head phones to work and headed down to the gym for a cardio session. They were very comfortable. Didn't move and I immediately noticed the extra long cord. This is key for wired head phones because it means you have lots of room and don't have to worry about pulling on the cord when doing exercises or HIIT training.
On top of all these other great features the sound quality is what I would call "saudi." Crips and clear.
Overall I would give them a 9/10. I would love to have a wireless version. That would give the headphones an overall 10/10. These are definitely TRAIN IT RIGHT APPROVED! Thanks SMS for these great workout headphones in my two favourite colours pink and black!
My New Monster iSport Wireless Headphones from @bestbuycanada @monster_canada - Train It Right
I have been needed a new pair of headphones for working out for quite some time. When I saw the Monster Isport headphones on the bestbuy website I knew that they would be great for me! They were wireless, which meant that there was no cord to get in the way when I was lifting, running, jumping or just commuting. My life is so hectic and I am always on the go so these would be perfect for working out and my life in general.
They arrived quickly and I soon put them to work! First of all I was so impressed by the sound quality. I have had a lot of different head phones over the past years but these are by far the BEST SOUNDING headphones that I have ever had for working out! Secondly they did not fall off during my high intensity workouts or even when I was doing cardio! I never had to adjust them and obviously there were no cords in the way. I also was particularly impressed how quick they pair to my devices and I like the option of being able to switch songs right on the headset. I literally never have to touch my iPod or phone once they are paired to change a song. According to the site they are good for up to 10m paired but I am sure that I have gone further from my iPod and they have still worked! Also the charge lasts forever. It's been a week and I still haven't had to recharge them. Im sure the time is coming soon. They are suppose to last up to 30 hours of continuous play.
Although the headphones are great. You all know that my favourite colour is pink! I wish that they came in pink then I would be the happiest girl in the world. The green is growing on me. I like that it is bright. It's still taking some getting use to having something in this colour.

I can't wait because I am for ever losing my keys/cellphone etc. I am going to start with one and if I love it I will definitely Order more. I love Nike. I love the NTC app and I see on twitter and Instagram all these great events that they have. It seems as though most of the NTC events are in the states. America has tons of amazing trainers that are Nike NTC trainers or affiliates but here in Canada. I only know of one Nike Trainer. I have no idea how they selected her or why. I've inquired to every outlet or anyone involved in Nike that I can get in contact with on how to apply, how to audition or how to become an influencer in Canada but no one can give me an answer. Or I get short turned with they're figuring out how to identify influencers. I just want to be part of a community of like minded trainers that genuinely care and do a good job at motivating people. I feel that having a Nike NTC trainer role is a great outlet to do just that. My passion is helping athletes and clients achieve goals and keeping them motivated.
So finally A few weeks ago I saw a post on Facebook about the Toronto Nike NTC classes. They posted a link showing you when the next classes were and gave a link to sign up. I sent a bunch of my clients e-mails and asked if they wanted to go. YAY Nike NTC events! A few of my clients were available and said yes. So we all registered. Leading up to the event I did not receive a reminder e-mail or any other sort of notification. Fine. Not a big deal since I put everything in my agenda.
Even though I was in an accident on May 29th I am limited to the things that I can do with both my hand and my knee. I am great at knowing my limitations and being able to modify exercises so I decided I would still participate (this was my first time working out since the accident), so I decided to still go.
Upon arrival at the Academy of Lions (where the event was held) there were signs for Nike NTC. I walked into the store front area of the gym and no one greater me, told me to register or had me fill out a waiver (which needs to be done or I could sue for injury and liability). I then noticed some girls coming in and signing in at the front desk. I signed in. No one spoke to me with any direction or information on where to wait. So I sat and observed. Then we saw a small sign on the entrance of the changing rooms that said Nike NTC register at front desk. A little late but there it was. About 10 minutes later the front desk guy from the gym comes up and asks myself and my client if we were new to the NTC class. We said yes and he said ok I will need to get you to sign a waiver. He left and came back to the group again with no waivers for us.
At this point the instructor came and said "ok guys lets run to the park like we always do." NO INTRODUCTION, NO QUESTIONS, DIDNT ASK IF ANYONE WAS NEW, DIDNT ASK IF ANYONE HAD ANY INJURIES, NOTHING! So we proceed to go to the park. Halfway through the warmup the instructor finally acknowledge that I had a knee injury and gave me one alternate to the exercise we were doing. OK THANKS! I proceeded to modify every other exercise given in the circuit training MYSELF. The workouts lasted approximately 35 minutes then a 10 minute stretch. Yes I worked up a sweat but it probably was because of the sun.
My experience with that particular NIKE NTC class at The Academy of Lions was sub par. The instructor was fit, but must be comfortable in her role. A simple welcome to NTC class would have been great and a bit of her background. A greeting at the club upon arrival would have been nice and a waiver presented to me would have been great. I wouldn't recommend this particular Saturday morning NTC class for very beginner exerciser. Very little exercise correction was offered, I don't think it was conducted safely and the instructors enthusiasm was less than stellar. Exercises were done on pavement (bad for joints, knees etc).
Overall I would rate the circuit style NTC bootcamp a 3/10. Now don't get me wrong. Im sure not all the classes are like this in Toronto or all the instructors are like this but I was very disappointed with my experience.
