When you think of at home water pitcher water filters you probably think of a jazzy snazzy commercial. BUT have you tried ZeroWater?
Before I tried it out, I decided to do a little research on it and other water filters on the market and I found that ZeroWater seemed to have more benefits for what I was looking for. Unlike a lot of water filters on the market (even the ones more known), Zero Water has a 5 stage filter whereas many there have 2 or 3. It also removes practically all of the extra stuff out of the water, whereas some other brands have a far less percentage of doing so. Knowing these facts had me sold.
After trying out the water filter system, I must say that I have noticed a clear difference in my water. Not only does it taste better, but it seems to be cleaner to me. Like me, you might prefer bottled water to tap water anyway, but like me you've probably also noticed that bottled water has become another household "bill". Getting a water filter system can eliminate that all together. So not only will you get a greater quality of water, but overtime you'll find that you're saving money and using less plastic (we're eco friendly over here at Train It Right).
The Zero Water website has a cool feature as well that allows you to type in your zip code (depending on what country you're from) and check your TDS reading. Check it out on their site www.zerowater.com and have a look around to check out their water filtering system!
Happy and clean drinking to you!
Hey Guys!
I was at my local health food store browsing the cooler. Since Im currently on prep and sweetners haven't been cut yet I tend to look for sugar free, low carb drinks to satisfy cravings. I happened to see a new bottle that I didn't recognize. It was called Kevita. This is a sparkling fermented drink. There were a few kinds so I checked out the back labels. I found one: Lemon Cayenne. That sparked my interest.
The drink is certified organic, 10 calories, 20mg sodium 1g sugar and 1g cab (not significant). So I decided to keep reading the ingredient list. What I thought was very interesting is that it contained apple cider vinegar, cayenne from the whole plant extract, lemon extract, stevia leaf extract and then fermented lactic acid. I was intrigued. It all had bacterial cultures. These aid in digestion along with apple cider. It was also gluten free, non -dairy and vegan. And to top it off its lightly carbonated to satisfy the bubble desire since I can't have real soda.
All in all I would give this product a 9/10. This is because it does have maple extract which is what I would presume the 1g carb, 1g sugar comes from. So Kevita if you feel like sending me a case of these for the rest of my prep I wouldn't be mad!
150 Best Meals In A Jar - Tanya Linton - Book Review
I love mason jars! I have always said that "everything tastes better in a mason jar." And it does! Thats why I was excited to receive this book 150 Best Meals In A Jar. Once you start using mason jars you will see just how easy it is to do meal prep, eat on the go. You can even be as innovative as you want with the recipes. There really are no limits.
The book has a wide variety of delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It includes soups, snacks, fruit and vegetable salads, grain and legume salads, pastas, rice bowls, over night oats and even desserts.
My favourites are the over night oats. I always love including that into my own plans as well as my clients. One of my top fav recipes is the chocolate protein smoothie that is on pg 19.
The recipes are easy to follow, have great ingredients that are easily available and most often times you already have in your panty. Tanya Linton also provides great variations of the recipes so you aren't limited to exactly what she has in the originally recipe.
Overall I give this book an 8/10. There arent pictures of each recipe but there are just so many amazing options and variations its a go to book for meal prep. If you are into health and fitness and want amazing healthy recipes this is a go to!
