If you are busy and on the go a great way to get your daily nutrition can be through a shake. You can literally grab the packets and throw them into your purse, mix them up in little to no time and enjoy!

Skinny Shake recently sent us samples to try over here at Train It Right! Their chocolate and vanilla flavours contain 16g of protein, 25 vitamins and minerals and are only 140 calories. With the added benefit of:

Goji Berry
Chia Seed Powder
Horseradish Tree Leaf (Moringa)
& more!

If you look at the ingredients a lot of it comes from fibre. And we wouldn't really count what they count as carbs at all as most aid in the digestion process.

We found that it tasted good, clean and mixed well with water when we tried it. The company recommends to add about 8oz of liquid. At Train It Right we recommend water, almond milk or cashew milk for easy digestion. Mix it in a shaker cup for best results and enjoy. CanPrev - Core Performance Shake - Review coreshake

I recently had the opportunity to try CORE by CanPrev. It is a performance shake. They have both a mens and women version. The shake mixes well with water, juice or the milk of your choice.  It is enhanced with daily nutrition that is good for bone health, UTI support and helps balance blood sugar. So it provides proper nutritional support if you suffer from any of those problems. In addition with a healthy diet it is a great way to get the nutrients that your body needs. This is also a Canadian company and I love that. If you are wanting to try it their website gives a list of retailers as well as if you go to the website and you can even get a coupon and get $1.50 off.

It’s leaves are changing, the air is crisp which means it is fall. That means that it is pumpkin pie season. Pies can be high in carbs as well as sugar and fat content. Here is a pumpkin pie shake recipe that is a fast and easy healthy alternative. This is one of my favourite recipes that can be used for a post-workout, breakfast, or as a snack. If you love pumpkin flavour anything like I do I promise that this shake won’t disappoint you because this shake isis thick like a milkshake and tastes like a creamy pumpkin pie. Perfect for your fall taste buds.

In a blender combine the following ingredients:

– 3 scoops of pumpkin out of a cone

– 2/3 ice cubes

– 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk, coconut milk or any other milk of your choice

– 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

– 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

– 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

– 1 teaspoon stevia, coconut sugar or sweetener of your choice

– 1/2 of a banana (I prefer frozen)

– 1/2 – 1 tablespoon non-fat plain Greek yogurt

Blend ingredients thoroughly and pour into a glass and enjoy!

One day  I was browsing the web and came across a product that caught my attention. Oatworks. This product boasted that it was packed with as much soluble fiber as two bowls of oatmeal, gluten free, vegan friendly, dairy free, non gmo and no cholesterol.

The people over at Oatworks sent me a package of all three flavours to try! Lucky me! The three flavours were pomegranate blueberry, peach mango and strawberry banana.

Once I received the package I made sure to put them in the fridge. Accoring to oatworks "Like friends, Oatworks is best when chilled." Out of the three my favourite was strawberry banana followed by pomegranate blueberry and the peach mango. The ingredients in these drinks are packed full of nutrition. The one thing that I wish it had was more protein. Each flavour on average only has 1g of protein.

If you are looking for a quick on the go way to get a great tasting smoothie, nutrients and your daily fiber I highly recommend picking up Oatworks. These products are available in the USA and unfortunately they are not available in Canada yet. For more information on the product check them out at www.oatworks.com

Great recipe even though the woman and the kitchen along with the music is kind of creepy.
