Carrie Underwood has one of the strongest voices in the music industry today. However, she is probably one of the strongest physically as well. She has gone from shy and innocent sort of chubby American Idol girl to a strong and toned woman. Carrie has transformed herself through a healthy vegan diet and regular fitness routine. According to Fit Sugar, "w hen touring, the singer travels with her own fridge stocked to the brim with healthy items; this helps her avoid dining out or relying on all that catered food. Her go-to breakfast when on the road? Fiber-rich oatmeal! She also brings a stash of healthy snacks."

Some of Carries Secrets:

Food Tracking

Cardio 6x a Week

Strength Training (including kettle bells)

Carrie has been quoted saying "There's just something sexy about feeling strong." And she is right!

Shawne Merriman of the Buffalo Bills in the NFL talks about recovering from his achilles injury, off season training and the way he likes to train. His master trainer talks about his work ethic and how he is willing to train hard. He talks about training specifically for his position and the theory behind why he trains like he does.

Shawne lifts heavier in his off season than he does during his season, and he definitely trains it right. This upper body strength training video is all about training, no flashy music, straight raw and real. It showcases his discipline and intensity.

I am now a fan of his trainer from  Fit Athletic in San Diego, CAas he is very specific and attentive. There aren't enough good quality trainers like this guy.

Brandon Jennings of the NBA knows how to train it right. You get a look into his life in his Under The Armour Series on Youtube. Today he released his first episode of his second season. Check it out:

If there is one person who is worth his pay check I would say that it is the NFL's Baltimore Ravens marquee running back, Ray Rice. Ray stands at 5"8 and averages around 212 pounds. He is a work horse by any athletic standards. According to recent reports ray signed a huge $40 million dollar contract with the Ravens with $17 in the first year and $25 after year two.

To be worth that much you need to make sure your off season training is not lacking. During the off season Ray was writing on Twitter about his 5:15 a.m. workouts, and he recently linked to a video that shows him running up and down bleachers with a weighted vest on. He's definitely in good shape and ready for his season.

During Ray's off season when he is not getting up at the break of dawn for his first workout of the day Ray can be found giving back to the city of Baltimore's Youth. You can check him out on his official website RayRice27 giving back to the city that has been his NFL home.

Who is Giavanni Ruffin you ask? He is a football player and someone I guarantee you have seen but didn’t know who he was. He is someone we all should look to for motivation and he is someone who has never stopped chasing his dream despite adversity. He is a real role model. He just isn’t in the NFL...yet.

To start off Ruffin is a football player with a lot of ambition and claims to “take no days off.” Ruffin is 23 and played at a low level college because of his grades. To make it worse apparently he was benched behind a returning player when he joined the squad. According to his website http://www.giavanniruffin.com He was put in to the teams sixth game for his chance to be able to prove his worthyness on the field and that he did. With averaging 153.6 yards per game and rushing for 768 while carrying 11 TD’s in just five games. Eventually he transferred to East Carolina where he got into some trouble with the police and was suspended from the football program. This life lesson taught him the meaning of all around athlete and showed him that what you do off the field affects what happens on the field. He was left out of the NFL draft and was a virtual no name.

With all of this the man never got discouraged and he used his experience as motivation to out work his peers. He never gave up on his dream of making the NFL, and too this day he works extremely hard at making this goal become reality. Giavanni explains on his site that, "twenty-three Pro Bowlers were undrafted free agents last year so, it's something to work for."

Now why does he train it right and how you probably know who he is but didn’t know his name; A video that his friend shot of  Ruffin’s intense training went viral. The video motivates, hypes you up and makes you question your own work ethic and asks you…how bad do you want it? The video that went viral is narrated by a  motivational speaker named Eric Thomas aka the Hip Hop Preacher.

Now there is a part 2 that motivates you even further because the work never stops.

His drive and mission statement “take no days off” inspired him to create a clothing company that has boomed #TNDO is the hashtag on twitter. Many of us use this term, I know I do. I just didn’t know where it came from. He also has been releasing a documentary that now has 4 parts. You can watch them on his website on the landing page before enter. It really shows you inside his life even more about who he is, what he does, what he wants, and what drives and motivates him.

Who is DeStorm Power? When I first met him I thought he was slightly crazy but soon found out he is an internet genius,  fitness phenom, creates all of his own music, jumps cars and takes on challenges. Not your usual combination but it seems to work for him and “the people” love it. He calls his fans and admirers “the people” and his catch phrase that he begins all of his videos on Youtube with is “Wassup world!?!?” Not only is he an artist and athlete of sorts but he inspired me so much and is the reason why I started to pursue my own career further.

Destorm according to his Wikipedia page is the 55th most subscribed to user and the the 16th most subscribed to musician. His youtube accomplishments speak for themselves. He has more than 200 videos that have been watched close to 200 million times. He started his career in music by interning and ghostwriting for Atlantic, Universal and other record labels according to his Wikipedia page. Destorm recently released a mixtape entitled “Be Careful” which he released in May of this year.

Where fitness is concerned he can be seen posting fitness videos often and tweeting about how summertime is coming and trying to motivate people to get off the couch. DeStorm himself was a former triple jumper and even was a personal trainer at one point. All his fitness and workout videos are inspirational. I even got to shoot a hilarious video with him where we were running all around North Hollywood.

I had the chance to workout with Destorm at a Hollywood gym and he goes hard. He runs about 3 miles to the gym and back from his home. Once he reaches the gym the hard core fitness phenom performs a number of circuits using the bosu, free weights and machines. He takes little rest by performing active recovery between his sets. That means his rest is another exercise. One of his favorite exercises is a single leg deadlift on an overturned bosu.

His two youtube channels are https://www.youtube.com/user/DeStorm and https://www.youtube.com/user/DeStormTV
