Simple Steps To Help Prevent Progression Of Dementia And Alzheimer's

Dr. Jennings prescribes simple, everyday actions we can take to stave off disease, promote vitality, and prevent dementia and late-onset Alzheimer's. "The choices we make now can help us to keep our minds sharp and maintain our independence as we age,” says Jennings.
An easy-to-use guide to maintaining brain and body health throughout life, The Aging Brain is based on solid, up-to-date scientific research, and the interventions discussed may help prevent progression toward dementia, even in those already showing signs of mild cognitive impairment. The recommendations also may help reduce disability and depression.

10 Things You Should Know About Figure Prep
- You have to sacrifice your time and energy and focus it into your prep.
- It is expensive - make sure you can afford it first.
- You will cry - sometimes uncontrollably for no reason, sometimes happy tears and sometimes sad and frustration tears.
- Expect to be hungry - you just have to deal with it.
- Expect to be tired -naps will be your best friend.
- Sometimes you feel like shit and others youre on top of the world - Get it done no matter what.
- You will never see yourself objectively so get a coach - don't assess yourself because it is hard to see your own progress.
- It is an emotional rollercoaster - find coping mechanism that are not related to food.
- Nothing is guaranteed no matter how hard you work - so dont get caught up on placings or sour that things did not go in your favour.
- Be selfish and focus on yourself. Don't let others rain on your personal goal parade - Remember it was and is your decision to do a show. Don't expect the people around you to change their lives just for you, don't expect them to all support you.
No matter what you should enjoy the process and if you don't and spend the entire time miserable or complaining YOU SHOULD NOT BE DOING THE SHOW. It is hard. It will be challenging. It will test you. Mentality is the hardest part of it. Obviously this is just my opinion based on my experience.
And no I haven't always been perfect during a prep. I have moments of weaknesses, self doubt...quite frankly at times I have been so hard on myself that I was super negative. But I have learned so much from every prep. I have learned about myself, others and the process and I keep getting better. I love the journey and the challenges it brings. It will only make me a better person in the long run.
And If you ever want to look in on my preps I document as much as I can on my youtube channel:

Panther Medical Canada Inc. Opens in Canada Bringing State of the Art, Clinically Proven, Economically Viable Laparoscopic Surgical Solutions, while Saving Tax Payers Millions in Health Care Costs
AJAX, ON, July 18, 2018 /CNW/ - Surgical Staplers are used in surgical procedures in place of sutures to close tissue in surgical wounds. The use of staples over sutures reduces local inflammatory response, width of the wound, and the time it takes to close. This reduces patient tissue trauma by minimizing tissue handling and heals as reliably as conventional sutures.
Up until now, Canada's open and laparoscopic surgical stapler market has had only two Health Canada licensed stapler suppliers, Medtronic and Johnson & Johnson / Ethicon Endo-Surgery, who have both providing products with small variances in selection and value, to patients, surgeons, surgical teams, hospitals and healthcare payers.
Ontario based Panther Medical Canada Inc. has obtained Health Canada License for the Panther® line of open and endoscopic surgical staplers and plans to deliver increased competition and significant value and savings into this duopoly market and thereby help Canadian Healthcare Providers and Payers by delivering high levels of quality, service and missing economic value to the surgical community.
Panther Medical Canada offers a full range high quality surgical stapling products as used in Gastric, Digestive, Bariatric, Esophageal, Pancreatic, Gynecological and Thoracic surgical procedures, and plans to invest in Canadian robust surgical team training and surgical procedure research and development activities. By partnering with Canadian surgeons, nurses, researchers and payers in training, innovation, research and development and by delivering millions of dollars in missing economic value and efficiencies back to Canadian Healthcare Payers, Panther Medical Canada will improve the lives and the economic relief of Canada's health system and tax payers.
About Panther Medical Canada Inc.
Panther Medical Canada Inc is a welcome addition to the Canadian Healthcare Supplier Landscape. It is an example of Canadian Entrepreneurs looking to reshape healthcare delivery in a few short years. By partnering with Panther Healthcare of China, the 3rd largest manufacturer open and endoscopic stapler products in the world, Panther Medical Canada is poised to deliver significant value and savings to Canadians. Panther Medical Canada Inc is poised to enter and win market share stake in Canada's $75M Surgery Stapler Duopoly Market and, in the process, plans to save Canadian Taxpayers millions of dollars in annual Healthcare spending. Formed in July 2018 by two successful Canadian Healthcare Entrepreneurs, Mario Cortis and David Goossens of Panther Medical Canada, plan to partner with Canadian hospitals, Surgeons, OR Teams and economic payer stakeholders, to supply high quality, Health Canada Licensed Panther® open and laparoscopic surgical stapling solutions ultimately saving Canadian's money. This company will disrupt pricing inefficiencies in Canadian Healthcare purchasing and expects to battle for market share with Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) and Medtronic (MDT). SwampButt Underwear Refuses World Cup Promotional Opportunities
Lake Jackson, Texas (Tuesday June 19, 2018) – Citing the facts that 1) Americans hate soccer and 2) that watching it is more boring than most anything in a universe crowded by mind-numbing silliness, the makers of SwampButt Underwear™ (www.swampbutt.com) have chosen not to promote their men’s performance underwear in conjunction with any World Cup broadcasts this year or any time in the near or far future for any reason whatsoever. Not that they could afford this, but in case someone asks, the answer is a hard no.
Could Soccer Be Made More Interesting?
While ideas to make soccer more interesting, like hiding bear traps on the ‘pitch’, digging deep holes that players fall into and disappear forever, playing against a team of lions or cheetahs or even adding a paint ball/laser tag angle (all of which have merit), none has captured the attention of the Europeans, Middle Easterners, people from Asia or South Americans who believe that guys in shorts, kicking a ball for an hour and not scoring many or any points is worthy of attention. “Soccer is terrible, that’s why we hate it,” said sports aficionado and corporate spokesperson Nick Heraldson. “Lions or cheetahs could outscore most soccer teams currently playing World Cup matches. Hey, prove I’m wrong.”
Like When Dogs Chase A Meat Truck
When pressed for specifics about the terribleness of soccer, Heraldson listed the following:
- There are no possessions by either team, no offense or defense. It’s just a free for all like when dogs chase a meat truck. The dogs don’t know what to do when they catch that truck, just like when a soccer player has a chance to score a point.
- Practically every attempt at a ‘play’ gets messed up because the other team’s player knows who, when and how your player is going to kick the ball and thus creates a ‘turnover’ so all there really is to watch is turnover after turnover.
- Since most every play will result in a turnover it begs the question; how you calculate time of possession in soccer because there are those who bet on things like that.
Act Like You’ve Been There
In most sports when scoring, the advice is to ‘act like you’ve scored or been there before.’ It does not apply in soccer as it’s likely a player scoring never has scored before, hence the knee slides, jersey removal, hugging all the other guys on the team, and the announcer saying ‘goooooooooooooooooooal.’ “I can’t blame the announcer too much,” Heraldson sympathized. “Who knows how many more games until someone scores again? He has to seize the opportunity when it’s there.”
Soccer Rules and the Game Clock
How much time is left in a game or ‘match’ as they are called? No one knows because it’s a secret. “It’s rules and officiating are capricious at best and defy the rules of common sense; it’s like the European Union of sports,” Heraldson explained. “Americans like winner take all, a comeback for the ages the underdog winning against all odds, Cinderella stories, stuff like that.” Because of the time of play, size of the field/pitch, and number of turnovers, comebacks are nearly impossible in soccer. “Soccer fans will cite the sports popularity along with the appeal of athleticism, penalty kicks, and the imposition of someone else’s idea of what’s fair on the outcome,” Heraldson lamented. “How more awful could it be?”
Yes We Know How Popular It Is
People who enjoy soccer number in the tens of millions and every one of them will remind the games’ critics about how popular it is. “If people like to watch soccer, play soccer or attend games in person, no problem,” Heraldson reflected. “But please stop trying to force the rest of us to watch or shame us into saying how cool the World Cup is and how uncool we are for not ‘getting it’, because we know how unbelievably dull it is.”
To profit from the wisdom of SwampButt Underwear, visit the web site at www.swampbutt.com.
CAPTION: Whether playing soccer, chasing a meat truck or participating in a real sport, SwampButt Underwear Performance brand will fit snug, wick away sweat and dry it faster than any traditionally made men’s underwear.

FDA APPROVED NON-SURGICAL BALLOON WEIGHT LOSS METHOD
HELPS PEOPLE SHED UP TO 50 POUNDS
Americans spend almost 60 billion dollars annually in pursuit of weight loss with gastric bypass surgery being the most common type of weight-loss surgery; an option that isn’t for everyone. Like any major procedure, gastric bypass has significant health risks and side effects. In addition, to be a candidate for the procedure, one must have a BMI (body mass index) of 40 or higher. The fact is, a huge percentage of the population are only between 15 to 50 pounds overweight without any other options besides diet and exercise. Dr. Stanley Poulos, a San Francisco board certified plastic surgeon is an early adaptor of the non -surgical balloon weight loss method approved by the FDA in 2016. Following the two-part program, patients lost an average 3.1x the weight compared with diet & exercise alone.
Dr. Poulos stresses that, “there is a direct correlation between those patients who stay connected to their program and their weight loss success.” Dr. Poulos is highly experienced in body contour plastic surgery which is sometimes required after major weight loss. Sometimes, due to skin laxity after weight loss, procedures such as thigh lift, breast lift, liposuction or “tummy tuck” are desired by patients.
Who is an ideal candidate for the balloon weight loss method?
It is appropriate for patients with a BMI of 30 to 40 that have not had previous weight loss surgery. Patients diagnosed with bulimia, binge eating, compulsive overeating, high liquid calorie intake habits or similar eating related psychological disorders are not good candidates.
How does the balloon method work?
This non-surgical outpatient procedure begins with a diagnostic endoscopy to ensure that there are no contraindications and that it is safe to perform. Once the patient is mildly sedated and comfortable, the procedure can begin. The deflated gastric balloon is inserted through the esophagus and into the stomach. A syringe is then used to fill the balloon with a sterile saline solution. Once the weight loss balloon has been filled with saline, it expands to approximately the size of a grapefruit. The entire procedure takes about 20 minutes. Patients can usually return home after the placement or removal procedures within 30 minutes. Over the last 20 years this procedure has helped over 277,000 people. The gastric balloon encourages portion control while patients make healthy changes to diet and lifestyle.
How long does the balloon stay in place?
The balloon remains in the stomach for the first six months after the procedure. With the stomach balloon and Dr. Poulos’ support team, patients usually see the most drastic results in the first six months. It is very important to use this time to develop healthy habits that will continue for not only the 12-month weight loss program, but for the rest of one’s life.
What to expect after the balloon placement.
Over the first 14 days after placement, patients may experience nausea or vomiting. Dr. Poulos recommends a liquid diet for his patients during the first week to help manage these symptoms. Also prescribed are effective anti-nausea drugs to help the patient through the initial stage.
How is the balloon removed?
Once the stomach balloon has been in place for six months the balloon is removed. The simple and non-surgical procedure is very similar to the placement process. Once the gastric balloon has been removed, it is very important to continue working closely with Dr. Poulos’ team and coaches to follow the personal diet and exercise plan provided. This will help to keep you in a positive and healthy mindset while achieving your weight loss goals.
Additional benefits of the balloon weight loss method.
ü It’s been shown that the average person loses 3x more weight with this procedure than with diet and exercise alone. Here are some of the reasons why:
ü Diets can leave you feeling hungry or dissatisfied. This procedure helps by taking up room in the stomach and encouraging portion control.
ü When you’re overweight, exercise can be challenging and uncomfortable. With The Balloon Weight Loss Method aiding your weight loss, physical activity can be more comfortable.
ü There are no incisions, stitches, or scars.
ü Unlike gastric bypass surgery, this procedure is not solely for the morbidly obese.
ü The procedure takes 20 minutes and most patients return home the same day.
ü The balloon is only placed temporarily.
ü The procedure is intended to work with a fitness and nutrition regimen for optimal results.
Cost: The general cost for the procedure is $8,000 to $10,000 nationwide and can be used with patients 22 and older who fit all of the medical criteria.

10 HEALTHY SPINE TIPS FOR SUMMER TRAVEL
Vacations are usually meant to be relaxing, but traveling can cause increased stress on the body, and ultimately be a pain in the neck! The seats in airplanes, cars, trains, and buses are not always the most comfortable. With 80% of Americans suffering from back pain, the thought of a long trip can be discouraging. Luckily, the pain associated with travel can be greatly reduced, and in many cases avoided.
Dr. Kenneth Hansraj, an orthopedic back surgeon, offers these travel tips to help keep your spine comfortable and healthy while on the go:
- Check Your Posture: Sitting for prolonged periods can strain your back, and your positioning can make it even worse. To provide yourself with the most relief, make sure your back is aligned against the back of the seat and your headrest is supporting the middle of your head. Keep your shoulders straight and avoid rounding forward. Both feet should be firmly resting on the floor
- Smart Preparation: Reduce the time spent standing in lines by planning ahead. Purchasing electronic tickets, acquire elite frequent flyer status, take advantage of digital electronic check-in by smart phone, and check your luggage curbside
- Travel Light: Resist the urge to over-pack and reduce the stress on your shoulders and spine. Choose a light suitcase with wheels and a handle for rolling
- Tilts: Tilting your seat backward, with a pillow behind your back in proper posture will lead to the efficient loading of your spine. Behind your neck rests are usually two foldable pads that can be adjusted close to your neck. This prevents sleeping with your neck in an awkward position
- It’s all in the legs: Keep your legs out in the extended position. The bent or flexed position leads to your leg veins being stagnant, and may lead to a blood clot. It is important to get up and walk, stretching the legs and arms at least once an hour
- Stretch: When all else fails keep moving! Simple stretches of the neck, shoulders, and back will help keep the blood flowing. Blood brings important nutrients and oxygen to the structures of the back. This helps to stimulate the soft tissues in your back and keeps them from stiffening, which can reduce aches. Even a few seconds of stretching and moving is better than not doing anything at all!
- Breathe: Place your hands on your abdominal area and feel your belly move as you inhale and exhale. Do this as many times a day as possible to improve your posture and overall spinal health.
- Intention: Realize that the trip itself is a destination to be planned and thoroughly enjoyed. Watch your intentions. “I have a gorgeous hour to listen to my music, my book, or chat with a friend” is a better intention than “Ugh, I’m a prisoner on this trip.”
- Best Hours: Face it! Some of our best hours of our lives are spent travelling. Be thoughtful about it. Choose a vehicle that is safe, ergonomic, comfortable and that you love. Upgrade to business class if possible (less expensive, booked 1 month early).
- See Opportunity in Delays: Expect delays. Look for the opportunities to read a book, or watch a movie and connect with your travel companion. Anger and frustration leads to shallow breathing, stiff muscles and pain.
