Vegas Stronger Community Outreach Coordinator Christopher Gordon Passes Away

Memorial Service to be Held January 22 at Vegas Stronger Headquarters

Las Vegas, NV – January 19, 2022 – Christopher Gordon, Community Outreach Coordinator for Vegas Stronger, passed away unexpectedly last week at the age of 62.

Chris, with 30+ years working in the addiction recovery field, and 50+ years as a Las Vegas resident, left a lasting mark on the community of Las Vegas through the countless patients he counseled and worked with during his remarkable career.

An interfaith memorial service will be held Saturday, January 22nd, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm pt, at Vegas Stronger.

There will be an opportunity for all to share the stories of how his gentle and incredible soul touched your life or how he just made you laugh.

In lieu of flowers, Chris’ family has asked that a donation to Vegas Stronger be made in his name, to help those that seek recovery and do not have the resources. You can donate via this GoFundMe link.

This would honor Chris’ legacy of helping those who needed help the most.

“Chris and I were very close,” said Dave Marlon, Founder of Vegas Stronger. “We worked together for the last 15 years. I witnessed Chris single handedly help 1000s of people get into treatment and recovery and stay on the sober path. While doing this, Chris suffered from his own demons, including battles with substance use disorder, and mental health challenges. I know the people he helped are grateful for an angel like him.”

Chris is survived by his son Chase, and daughter Carli.

Address for the memorial service is:

About Vegas Stronger

Vegas Stronger is a unique Non-Profit Organization 503(c)(3) focused on reversing the devastation caused to our community by the opiate epidemic and addiction. Our out-of-the box approach helps anyone afflicted, regardless of their race, socio-economic status, or housing situation, in an outpatient facility. We offer more than just traditional groups and are a growing facility with a sober boxing gym, coffee shop, bookstore, bicycle mission, and our customized “13 Core Elements Method.”

We facilitate that restoration to wholeness for individuals, families, and society at large, by creating awareness and providing access to both state-of-the-art and historically reliable remedies. Our services cater to all suffering from the depths of addiction. In many instances, residential rehab is not a viable or financial option.
